Last evening the Boston Archdiocese informed me that their employee who is currently conducting an audit of our parishes has been exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19. As both our business manager and I met with him at Most Precious Blood Church on Monday, November 30th for what is considered a “lengthy period of time,” we are considered “close contacts.” As a result of this we have been instructed to self-isolate for at least 10 days if we remain symptom free. We were told that this period of self-isolation began on Monday afternoon, the last time that our business manager and I had contact with said employee. Both our business manager and I will now officially continue this self-isolation for the remaining five days through December 10th.
After thorough consultation with the Boston Archdiocese as well as with several health specialists, we will be following all protocols and recommendations. Unfortunately, this means that all Masses at both Most Precious Blood and St. Theresa’s parishes will be suspended through December 11th. This action is being taken out of an abundance of care and concern for our parishioners.
We invite you to worship with us at home by viewing our filmed Sunday Mass (filmed alternately each week from Most Precious Blood or St. Theresa’s Parish) which is available every weekend on our website and on Dover/Sherborn Community TV (Dover: Comcast channel 8 & Verizon channel 45 at 9am; Sherborn: Comcast channel 8 & Verizon channel 32 at 7:30am).
Our first priority is the health and well-being of all of you, our parishioners. I will be keeping you in my prayers, and I thank you for your patience and understanding.
